    I will be perfectly honest, but I don't think so - there are a lot of rules involved in naming any astronomical objects.

    I am sure Dr Phil will be able to clarify that 😄

    Some unofficial names are widely used, though, and are recognized by databases. SIMBAD does list objects named on Zooniverse forums. Well, at least one such.

    I think Brian Cox said that you could name them if you went there. As for myself, I don't think I could afford the price of anti-matter fuel.
