anyone have any thoughts as to what this might be? Just curious. Three similar sized galaxies in a local gravitational alignment?

There seems to be some blue in between the galaxies. Not sure if it is a lens though.

Hm, the similar blueish colour present at the top of each object makes me think something else is at work here.

On a technical level can I ask why the image seems devoid of noise? Is this to do with the capture technique?

devoid of noise? There is quite a bit. Remember these are infrared images, so they may look different.
