Dark Matter Held By Gravity
-
I read an interesting article that gave me an interesting idea. If you imagine space and dark matter as if it was held together by gravitational pulls from stars, planets, and galaxies. Then couldn't our universe grow every time a new star is made and if a star explodes or implodes then that dark matter floats around or join another pull. If so then our universe will grow and shrink...

Let me know what people think I'm only in Highschool so my understanding is not as good as professors.

@IsaacWilliamL I would think that there is almost the same amount of matter if it is an an intact star, then a nebula, then a star again. Most of the atoms are still there, except for a few atoms lost during nuclear fusion. So the Universe would still have the same abount of gravity.
