Start Lens Modeller here
Enter your name
Select Spacewarps Data Source
Click OK
1) paste image ID
2) click fetch data
3) click OK
All buttons display text on mouse over so it is self explanatory
zoom using the mouse wheel
Click image to place modeler
Click twice to create saddle and minima
select dots to move them around
Basically
Blue on galaxy
Green on arc
yellow on counter arc
Click blue and green dots to expand them
select configure simulation properties
set pixel radius slider to 8
set Is model symmetrical to yes
close window
Click the gears and wait for output
output is ready when 0 1 and 2 are displayed

Rafael and Prasenjit just created a video tutorial which can be viewed here ( http://mite.physik.uzh.ch/tutorial/ ), Flash Player needs to be installed I got it to run in Google Chrome.

Great introduction! Many thanks to @JasonJason for preparing this.
SpaghettiLens is still evolving (and hopefully getting better!) Two minor changes:
- The colors of the moveable points have changed, but this will be obvious.
- The suggested configurations of "PixelRadius 8" and "symmetrical Yes" are now the defaults, so you can skip the configuration step.
Lots more examples by Jason and others on modelled candidates thread. Bear in mind is that nobody knows what the ``correct model'' should be, we are all just trying to figure out what Nature has put out there.
