Not a great model yet - it's predicting too much of a ring. If you move the blue lensing center more towards the center of the 'lens' does the model do any better?

I would expect lensed quasars to be brighter.

#quasar points 3 o'clock' wouldn't one expect brightness to be variable?

I am using the spotter's guide as a reference.. I don't think quasars ever are dim, even distant red ones z=5 are still bright.
