Simulated lens

The arrow pointed to the 3 bright blue dots and says it's a #simulated lens... not how I would expect them to look.. - gap looks too big ?

Hi Sunrise, the gaps between the dots depend on the mass of the lensing galaxy, and to a lesser extent how distant the source is. In some of the most massive clusters of galaxies, images of strongly lensed sources can be separated by way more than this. Although in those cases, it is very hard to pair up the lensed sources by eye.

    Happy hunting!

Ah thanks for the explanation Tom... Still so much to learn. I find it hard going, learning by "mistakes" sometimes - wish I knew more so that I didn't make them! lol.
