Object with four jets, two axes of symmetry - what is it?

I'm completely new to this, but the object at bottom left of this image looks absolutely spectacular. It looks as though there could be some lensing, but I'm more inclined to think that the 'halo' is due to something incredibly energetic going on. What is it?

The object on the bottom left?
It is a star from our galaxy - the halo is an optical artifact caused by saturation. The telescope camera was a bit overwhelmed.
The spotter guide has a lot more info!
