Where do these images come from?

  I've had a look in the FAQ but I can't see any info on where the images come from, does any one know? Also what telescope was used, magnification, area of sky per image etc would be interesting too....!?

  Also, on the Science page, last para. 😃
  Each image is 440 pixels (about 1.4 arcmin ) on the side but the total survey area is 170 sq. deg. Lots of sky to look at !!
